I started dancing at the age of four in ballet, tap and modern dance. I took part in several shows and progressed to teaching classes and choreographing shows at the local theatres.
I took a four year break for other commitments, and then joined a belly dancing class at the Western Dance Centre taught by Deniz. I did this just to keep my friends company! One by one they dropped out, but 4 years later I am still dancing, and loving every moment. I was thrilled when Deniz asked me to join Fragrance of the East to perform at private bookings and functions. I am now a regular member of the display team and have performed at many events.
I am now studying ATS, Tribal belly dancing with Deniz also.
